How the PGP works
IRCC periodically invites sponsors from its interest-to-sponsor pool. Sponsors must meet the Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) for three consecutive tax years, counting all family members plus the parents being sponsored, and sign a lengthy undertaking. Preparation before an invitation is what separates successful files from missed windows.
If you're not invited: the Super Visa
The Super Visa allows parents and grandparents to visit for up to five years at a time with multi-year validity, often the practical bridge while waiting for a PGP invitation. We assess both routes side by side.
