Humanitarian & Compassionate (H&C)

When the rules do not fit your life, H&C can open a door.

What H&C is for

A humanitarian and compassionate application asks IRCC to grant permanent residence to someone who does not qualify under a normal immigration program, based on the hardship they would face and their circumstances in Canada. Officers weigh factors such as your establishment in Canada, family ties, the best interests of any children affected, and the conditions in your home country.

These files are won on evidence and story

H&C is discretionary, so the quality of the submission is everything. A compelling, honest narrative supported by real evidence of your roots in Canada and the hardship of return is what moves an officer. Thin or generic applications are routinely refused.

How we help

We assess whether H&C is the right route, build the establishment and hardship evidence, address the best interests of the children directly, and write submissions that connect your facts to the legal test.
