Who qualifies
The Skilled Worker stream is for candidates with an indeterminate, full-time job offer from an eligible B.C. employer in a skilled occupation, meeting the wage and language requirements for their TEER category, with directly related work experience. Your SIRS score then determines whether you're invited from the pool.
The employer side
B.C. reviews the employer as carefully as the candidate: business history, recruitment efforts and the job offer itself. We prepare the employer package alongside yours so neither side holds the file up.
Raising your SIRS score
Wage is the single biggest factor (up to 55 of 200 points), followed by experience, education and language. Location matters too, jobs outside Metro Vancouver earn regional points. We model your options before you register.
